Spicy jalapeño wontons: a fun twist on cheesy jalapeño poppers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
  • 3 green onions, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Combine the creamy cream cheese, savory Monterey Jack cheese, spicy jalapeño peppers, fresh green onions, and aromatic garlic in a medium bowl.
  • Spoon 1 teaspoon of cream cheese mixture onto each wonton wrapper. Fold into triangles and seal edges by pressing with a moistened fork.
  • In a large, deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry 4 wontons at a time in the hot oil, flipping once, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
