Spinach and jalapeno puff pastry pinwheels - a delightful, cheesy and creamy appetizer that bakes quickly.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
  • 0.5 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 0.25 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Blend cream cheese and jalapenos with a fork until smooth in a medium bowl. Stir in spinach and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Lay out puff pastry on your work surface. Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the pastry, then sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Roll the puff pastry into a log, ensuring the seams are well sealed. Wrap the log in plastic wrap and freeze for 20 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and generously grease a baking sheet.
  • Slice the log into 1/4-inch rounds and arrange them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until beautifully golden brown. Serve warm.
