Spicy jalapeño popper wontons with a tasty Asian flair, perfect for any party! Serve with sweet chili sauce for extra yum.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
  • 20 (3.5 inch square) wonton wrappers
  • 0.5 cup sweet chili sauce
  • oil for deep frying
Instructions:
  • Mix cream cheese with spicy jalapeño peppers in a bowl. Lay out a few wonton wrappers on a clean dry surface. Have a cup of water nearby. Spoon a teaspoon of cream cheese filling onto the middle of each wrapper. Wet your fingertip in the water bowl and run along the edges of the wrappers. Fold into triangles or as per package instructions for preferred shapes. Prepare in advance and store in the fridge or freezer.
  • Preheat the oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C. Fry a few wontons at a time until golden brown, approximately 2 minutes each. Drain on paper towels. Repeat for the remaining wontons, then serve with sweet chili sauce on the side for dipping.
