Mushrooms sauteed in tangy tarragon vinegar dressing.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 0.33333334326744 cup tarragon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 0.66666668653488 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 6 drops hot pepper sauce
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, sauté mushrooms in butter over low heat until browned, for about 5 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl once done.
  • Combine the dry Italian-style salad dressing mix, tarragon vinegar, water, vegetable oil, white sugar, garlic, and red pepper sauce in a medium bowl, whisking until well blended.
  • Pour the velvety mixture over the earthy mushrooms, then let them rest covered in the refrigerator for a minimum of 8 hours before savoring the dish.
