Delicious sweet and spicy beef jerky perfect for snacking on-the-go, at games, camping, or hiking. Savory flavors in every bite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 pound lean beef sirloin tip, sliced into 1/8 inch strips
  • 0.66666668653488 cup soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup pineapple juice
  • 0.33333334326744 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 tablespoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small bowl. Gently season the beef with a portion of the spice blend, saving the rest. Transfer the seasoned beef to an airtight container and refrigerate.
  • Combine brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, balsamic vinegar, teriyaki sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke flavoring in a saucepan. Heat until brown sugar dissolves completely. Chill marinade in the refrigerator until cool.
  • Drizzle the chilled marinade over the seasoned meat and toss gently by hand until well coated. Cover the bowl tightly, then refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours.
  • Lay out beef strips on the dehydrator rack, then generously sprinkle with extra spice mixture and red pepper flakes. Dehydrate for 5 hours, or until reaching your preferred level of dryness.
