Indulge in a sensational black raspberry pie, a perfect summer delight with a fuss-free, flavorful filling.
Ingredients:
  • 2 deep-dish prepared pie crusts
  • 2 quarts fresh black raspberries
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cut into 4 pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C), then place 1 pie crust in a deep-dish pie plate, reserving the second crust for later.
  • Combine black raspberries, sugar, cornstarch, and tapioca in a bowl, ensuring the berries are well coated. Transfer the mixture to the pie plate. Sprinkle butter pieces on top and cover with the remaining pie crust, making sure to cut slits for ventilation.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then lower the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 45 minutes until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
