Delicious cake made with Rome Beauty apples, sure to impress everyone.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 5 large Rome Beauty apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan.
  • In a bowl, toss together cinnamon, 3/4 cup of sugar, and apples; set aside. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking powder. Using an electric mixer, beat eggs and 2 cups of sugar until fluffy. Alternate adding the flour mixture and oil to the beaten eggs. Mix in orange juice and vanilla until smooth. Pour half the batter into the pan, layer with half the apples, add the remaining batter, and top with the rest of the apples.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, for 1 hour and 30 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
