Satisfying casserole with savory ground pork and beef sautéed in butter with veggies, pasta, and cheese. Perfect for feeding a crowd.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 (28 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 (16 ounce) package macaroni
  • 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Boil pasta until tender. Drain well.
  • In a large skillet, saute onion, celery, and green pepper in butter until softened. Add ground beef and pork, cook until meat is done, then drain well.
  • Mix together stewed tomatoes, beans, salt, and pasta. Divide the mixture between two 9 x 13 inch baking pans and sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over each pan.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake for 30-35 minutes.
