Succulent Korean BBQ beef short ribs marinated in sweet soy, garlic, and green onion, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup soy sauce
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Asian (toasted) sesame oil
  • 2 pounds Korean-style short ribs (beef chuck flanken, cut 1/3 to 1/2 inch thick across bones)
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, green onions, garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  • Combine ribs and flavorful marinade in a sturdy resealable bag, then refrigerate for 3 hours to overnight for maximum taste infusion.
  • Prepare the outdoor grill: preheat to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Take ribs out of the bag, gently shake off extra marinade, and dispose of the marinade. Grill ribs on the preheated grill until the meat is pink but not bloody near the bone, 5 to 7 minutes each side.
