Tender beef short ribs marinated in a flavorful Hawaiian-style soy sauce marinade.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 pinches ground ginger
  • 2 pounds beef short ribs, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large glass or ceramic bowl, combine water, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Add beef short ribs and mix well to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat a grill to medium-high heat, lightly oil the grate, and remove short ribs from the marinade, discarding the marinade.
  • Grill the short ribs until perfectly golden on each side, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer, and once it reads 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) in the center, they're ready.
