Tasty kale salad with pear, topped with flavorful sesame-ginger dressing, ideal for pairing with winter dishes.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 3 Tbsp. seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tsp. less-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 8 cups chopped kale
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 cup sliced pear
Instructions:
  • Combine canola oil, vinegar, toasted sesame oil, tamari, garlic, and ginger in a canning jar and shake well to make the dressing.
  • Place the kale in a spacious bowl and generously drizzle the dressing over it, keeping 1 to 2 tsp. in the jar for later. Gently massage the kale until it wilts, approximately 3 minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the kale and mix well. Arrange pear slices on top and finish by drizzling the reserved dressing over the salad.
