Delicious Key West pink shrimp boil with beer, lemon, and lime for a zesty appetizer and dip.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®), or to taste
  • 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans or bottles beer
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 12 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®), or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 pounds raw shrimp, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare the sauce by combining mayonnaise, lime juice, Dijon mustard, sugar, and hot pepper sauce in a bowl. Stir until smooth, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill the mustard sauce in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap, for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • In a saucepan, combine beer, lemon juice, seafood seasoning, hot pepper sauce, garlic, cayenne pepper, and black pepper, then bring to a boil. Add shrimp and cook.
  • Sauté shrimp until they turn vibrant pink on the outside and the meat is no longer see-through in the middle, for about 2 minutes; drain promptly.
