Satisfy your cravings with a traditional Korean dish of tender beef and fresh vegetables, topped with sesame seeds for a healthy and flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) mirin (rice wine)
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Salt-Reduced Soy Sauce
  • 3 tsp sesame oil
  • 600g beef rump steak, thinly sliced
  • 150g green beans, trimmed, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 150g snow peas, trimmed, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 10.60 gm Salt-Reduced Soy Sauce, extra
  • Sesame seeds, toasted, to serve
  • Steamed white rice, to serve (optional)
Instructions:
  • Mix together the mirin, soy sauce, and 2 teaspoons of oil in a glass or ceramic dish. Add the beef and toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the beans and snow peas in a saucepan of lightly salted boiling water for 2 minutes until vibrant and crisp-tender. Rinse under cold water, then drain and transfer to a bowl. Mix in extra soy sauce and remaining oil until fully combined.
  • Heat up a chargrill or frying pan over high heat. Skewer the beef and grill for 2-3 minutes per side for a medium cook or until done to your preference.
  • Distribute bean mixture into serving dishes, place skewers on top, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve with rice, if desired.
