Whip up this zesty Korean salad for a perfect match with BBQ ribs or bibimbap.
Ingredients:
  • 1 head red leaf lettuce
  • 4 green onions (white part only)
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 0.25 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and transfer it to a salad bowl. Slice the green onion whites lengthwise into thin strips, ensuring they curl as you slice to achieve the perfect thinness. Add the green onions to the salad bowl.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a small mixing bowl.
  • Drizzle the dressing over the lettuce and green onions, then toss them together until fully coated right before serving.
