Transform lasagna into an irresistible pizza-inspired dish with sausage, ricotta, marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella baked on flatbreads.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 (3 ounce) package Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 0.5 (26 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 6 flatbreads
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix together the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sizzle the sausage until cooked through, usually about 5 to 10 minutes. Once done, give it a little rest before folding in the marinara sauce. Drain any excess grease if needed.
  • Evenly spread a generous portion of the cheese mixture over each flatbread, then add the savory sausage mixture on top. Finish by sprinkling the remaining mozzarella cheese for ultimate gooey goodness.
  • Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
