Crispy Lebanese za'atar bread crackers, perfect for pairing with any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 8 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour, or more if needed
  • 2 cups olive oil
  • 1 cup corn oil
  • 2 cups fresh za'atar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine water, yeast, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Incorporate all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, olive oil, and corn oil with your hands, adding more whole wheat flour if necessary, until dough is cohesive. Mix in za'atar until evenly distributed.
  • Form dough into 1/4 cup-sized rounds on a floured surface and place them on baking sheets.
  • Bake until golden brown in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes.
