Zesty lemon-garlic oregano marinade elevates grilled chicken.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 (4 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Instructions:
  • Combine fresh lemon juice, extra-virgin olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and freshly ground black pepper in a bowl. Transfer the flavorful marinade to a sealable plastic bag. Place the chicken in the bag, ensuring it is fully coated with the marinade, then remove any excess air before sealing tightly. Chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight for maximum flavor infusion.
  • Start up your outdoor grill until it reaches medium-high heat, then give the grate a light coating of oil.
  • Pat the chicken dry after removing it from the marinade, ensuring to shake off any excess. Discard any leftover marinade.
  • Grill chicken until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Ensure the juices run clear and use an instant-read thermometer to check that internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
