Elevate your garden party with Betty's zesty lemon sugar cookies infused with lavender. Upgrade your classic cookie mix with fresh lemon zest and dried lavender for a delightful treat. Perfect for brunch, afternoon tea, or a decadent dessert paired with vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon dried lavender*
  • Grated peel of 1 lemon
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheet) and line it with cooking parchment paper.
  • Combine the cookie mix, butter, and egg in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms. Grind the lavender into small pieces using a mortar and pestle, then add it along with the lemon peel to the dough and mix thoroughly.
  • Scoop dough using a rounded tablespoon onto a cookie sheet, keeping them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake until edges turn golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then transfer from the cookie sheet to a cooling rack.
