Ingredients:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup fresh lemon verbena leaves
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan, mix water, sugar, and lemon verbena leaves. Boil while stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute, then steep the syrup off the heat for 30 minutes.
  • Strain the syrup through a mesh strainer into a clean glass jar to remove the lemon verbena leaves; allow it to cool.
