Indulge in zesty lemon-frosted cookies with a festive twist using Betty Crocker® gingerbread cookie mix. Perfect for the holidays!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Limited Edition Gingerbread Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 4 oz (half of 8-oz package) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, butter, honey, flour, and egg in a medium bowl until a dough forms. Roll dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and space 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until set. Let cool for 1 minute, then transfer from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Allow to cool completely.
  • Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon peel in a small bowl, then use the mixture to frost the cookies.
