Whip up a cool and invigorating mint-lemon balm sorbet for a refreshing summer treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 sprigs mint, chopped
  • 6 leaves lemon balm
  • 1 cup muscat wine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, gently simmer sugar, water, mint, and lemon balm until the sugar dissolves. Strain the mixture into a heatproof container, then mix in the muscat wine. Chill in the refrigerator for about 4 hours until cold.
  • Add the lemon juice and transfer the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a "soft-serve" consistency. Place the ice cream into a plastic container with a lid, cover with plastic wrap, and seal. Allow the ice cream to ripen in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight for optimal results.
