Refreshing lemon sorbet with mint-infused syrup and zesty limoncello.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups cold water, divided
  • 0.25 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lemon, zested, or more to taste
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 cup limoncello liqueur
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, mix 1 cup of water with sugar and fresh mint leaves. Stir occasionally and bring to a gentle boil until sugar dissolves, approximately 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest. Allow the syrup to cool slightly for about 10 minutes.
  • Combine the remaining 1 1/2 cups of water with the lemon juice and limoncello liqueur to create a flavorful syrup.
  • Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn for 10 to 15 minutes following the manufacturer's instructions. Freeze until firm for about 6 hours.
