Tangy white wine, bright lemon, rich butter, and briny capers elevate pan-seared chicken.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour, or more if needed
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • salt to taste
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 2 large lemon, juiced
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup drained capers
  • 1 large lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm the olive oil. In a shallow bowl, place the flour. Season chicken breasts with salt, press into flour, and shake off excess. Arrange chicken in the skillet and cook each side for 7 to 10 minutes until golden brown. Add white wine and lemon juice and cook until chicken is no longer pink and liquid is reduced by half, about 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer chicken to a plate.
  • Take the skillet off the heat and gently mix in the butter until it melts. Drizzle the luscious sauce over the chicken breasts and top with capers and fresh lemon wedges.
