Irresistible leftover chili transformed into loaded chili cheese hash browns topped with sour cream, green onions, and jalapenos.
Ingredients:
  • 12 frozen hash brown patties
  • 1 1/2 cups chili
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, such as Cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 24 thin jalapeno slices
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion
  • hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place hash brown patties on the prepared sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown and crispy, usually taking around 30 minutes, and remember to flip halfway through at the 20-minute mark.
  • Evenly distribute chili, cheese, and jalapenos on top of the patties, then bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Garnish with a dollop of creamy sour cream, a sprinkle of fresh scallions, and a drizzle of spicy hot sauce. Serve promptly for maximum flavor.
