Indulgent Super Bowl pizza bread features gooey mozzarella, zesty tomato sauce, briny olives, and spicy pepperoni.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) loaf French bread
  • 1 (8 ounce) container garlic and herb cream cheese, softened
  • 0.333 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 pound cooked, crumbled Italian sausage
  • 1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
  • 10 mini pepperoni slices, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sliced black olives, or to taste
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley or basil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the bread in half lengthwise, hollow out some of the center, and save it for future use, like making breadcrumbs. Keep the loaf halves to the side.
  • Mix together herbed cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese until fully blended. Spread the cheese mixture evenly onto both halves of the bread. Add cooked sausage on top. Spread the sauce evenly over each half, covering the sausage lightly. Finish by topping with mini pepperoni, olives, and the remaining cheese.
  • Wrap each loaf half tightly in foil, leaving the top slightly loose to prevent sticking to the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until the cheeses are gooey, the bread is golden, and toasted. Take out of the foil and allow it to rest for 5 minutes. Top with fresh parsley or basil and slice the loaves into 2-inch thick pieces.
