Cheesy bacon waffle fries with homemade sour cream & onion seasoning, topped with green onions and sour cream.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons powdered buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees (230 degrees C).
  • Combine powdered buttermilk, garlic powder, parsley, sugar, salt, and onion powder in a small bowl and mix until well blended.
  • In a bowl, add frozen waffles and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with sour cream and onion mix, toss to evenly coat. Arrange waffle fries on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until beautifully golden and crispy, following package directions, about 20-26 minutes.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bacon, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon on a paper towel-lined plate, crumble, and set aside.
  • Take the waffle fries out of the oven and generously sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and crispy crumbled bacon.
  • Place the fries back in the oven until the cheese is gooey and melted, which should take about 3 minutes. Once done, garnish with fresh green onions and a dollop of tangy sour cream. Serve piping hot right away.
