Indulgent lobster casserole with buttery sautéed lobster, seasoned with dry mustard, baked in creamy goodness - a taste of Maine.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound lobster meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 0.75 teaspoon dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 3 slices bread, crust removed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Gently melt butter in a pot over low heat. Sauté lobster until it colors slightly, ensuring not to overcook it quickly to maintain its tenderness. Remove lobster using a slotted spoon and set aside.
  • Combine flour, dry mustard, salt, and pepper with the remaining butter in the pot. Slowly pour in the cream and milk while whisking constantly. Cook and stir until thickened, around 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked lobster meat back into the pot. Rip the bread into small pieces and mix them into the lobster mixture. Transfer everything into the baking dish that you've prepared.
  • Bake until golden brown and bubbly in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
