Delicious cookies packed with oats, chocolate chips, walnuts, and coconut.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1.5 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F and generously grease up those cookie sheets.
  • In a spacious bowl, mix sugars, butter, and shortening until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until thoroughly combined.
  • Combine the sifted flours, salt, and baking soda, then mix until well combined.
  • Incorporate the rest of the ingredients.
  • Spoon teaspoon-sized dough portions onto a greased baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
