Popcorn coated in maple-honey caramel sauce, baked to perfection for a sweet and crispy snack.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup turbinado sugar
  • 0.25 cup real maple syrup
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 20 cups popped popcorn
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and prepare 1 or 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar, turbinado sugar, maple syrup, and honey over low heat. Stir constantly until it starts to simmer; let it simmer gently for 4 to 5 minutes. Take off the heat and quickly mix in vanilla extract and baking soda until combined.
  • Transfer the popcorn to a warm mixing bowl and generously drizzle with caramel sauce while stirring gently using a heavy metal spoon to ensure even coating. Be cautious to avoid any hot caramel coming into contact with your hands. Spread the popcorn onto the prepared baking sheet, using an extra one if needed to prevent overcrowding.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes until crispy, stirring corn every 10 minutes.
  • After baking, transfer the tray to a wire rack to cool for approximately 15 minutes.
