Elevate Betty Crocker peanut butter cookie mix with chopped peanuts and a decadent maple glaze for a gourmet twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons real maple or maple-flavored syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (or 350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheet).
  • Combine cookie mix, oil, water, egg, and peanuts in a medium bowl until a dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into 24 balls each measuring 1 1/2 inches in diameter and place them on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until edges start to brown. Let them cool on the sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Combine powdered sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl until a smooth glaze forms. Adjust consistency by adding more syrup if too thick or more powdered sugar if too thin. Drizzle over cooled cookies and allow glaze to set for 2 to 3 minutes.
