Citrus garlic sirloin skewers: Quick, easy, and flavorful. No need to marinate long - just enough to tenderize and enhance the flavors. Perfect served over rice.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup margarita mix
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 8 metal skewers, or bamboo skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 16 mushrooms, stems trimmed
  • 1 onion, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 large red or green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces
Instructions:
  • Mix together margarita mix, salt, sugar, garlic, and vegetable oil in a bowl or resealable plastic bag. Add sirloin cubes to the marinade and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat up the grill to medium heat.
  • Thread meat, mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers in a colorful pattern. Coat skewers with marinade, then grill to your desired doneness, around 10 minutes for medium. Discard any leftover marinade.
