Italian-inspired meatball sliders topped with marinara and Parmesan cheese, perfect for party appetizers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 12 ounces 93% lean ground beef
  • 4 ounces ground pork
  • 2 ounces freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 0.5 cup minced onion
  • 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 (23 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) package slider buns
  • 3 tablespoons freshly shaved Parmesan cheese, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, vigorously whisk together the egg and milk until well combined. Add bread crumbs to soak up the moisture. Fold in the ground beef, ground pork, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and Italian seasoning, mixing gently. Cover the bowl and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1 hour to let the flavors mingle.
  • Form mixture into perfectly sized 3-ounce meatballs.
  • In a deep skillet, pour marinara sauce and add meatballs. Cook covered on medium heat for 12 minutes. Flip meatballs and simmer for an additional 12 minutes until cooked through.
  • Toast slider buns until golden. Place 1 meatball on each bottom slider bun. Sprinkle with shaved Parmesan and cover with top buns. Serve hot.
