Marinate salmon in zesty cilantro, balsamic, lemon, sugar, and garlic for a delicious grilled or broiled dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Instructions:
  • Season the fillets generously with a blend of salt, pepper, onion powder, and red pepper flakes, then place them in a baking dish to rest.
  • Combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, balsamic vinegar, sugar, green onions, and cilantro in a bowl. Marinate salmon in the mixture, then cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) for perfect cooking temperature.
  • Place salmon on a broiling sheet and bake in a preheated oven for 5 minutes. Increase the heat to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), turn the fillets, and broil for an additional 5 minutes.
