Create a decadent, irresistible no-bake Mars Bar slice with Butternut Snap biscuits and creamy custard.
Ingredients:
  • 250g butternut snap biscuits, broken into pieces
  • 80g butter, melted
  • 30.00 gm custard powder
  • 100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar
  • 250ml (1 cup) milk
  • 300ml ctn thickened cream
  • 250g block cream cheese, softened
  • 150g milk chocolate
  • 18.40 gm canola oil
  • 4 x 53g Mars Bars, roughly chopped
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 27cm x 17cm rectangle slice pan by greasing it and then lining it with baking paper.
  • Pulse biscuits in a food processor until they resemble coarse crumbs. Add butter and pulse until mixed. Press mixture into pan using a flat-bottomed glass. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before proceeding.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, mix custard powder, 55g (1/4 cup) caster sugar, and 125ml (1/2 cup) milk. Gradually stir in the rest of the milk and 250ml (1 cup) cream. Whisk constantly until the mixture boils. Let it boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
  • In a food processor, combine cream cheese and the rest of the sugar until smooth. Add custard and blend until combined. Pour the mixture over the biscuit base and refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.
  • Combine chocolate, oil, half of the Mars Bars, and the remaining cream in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, ensuring the bowl does not touch the water. Stir occasionally with a metal spoon until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Pour the mixture over the custard, then sprinkle the remaining Mars Bars on top. Chill in the fridge for an hour until set.
