Make ahead chocolate mousse improves with time. Store covered in fridge for up to 2 days.
Ingredients:
  • 5 x 53g Mars bars
  • 200g Baking Milk Chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 375ml (1 1/2 cups) thickened cream
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 12.00 gm icing sugar mixture
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) caramel sauce
Instructions:
  • Chop 4 Mars bars finely and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the chocolate and cream. Microwave on High, stirring every minute, until the mixture is melted and smooth, for 8-10 minutes. Allow it to cool slightly for 10 minutes before using.
  • Whisk yolks into chocolate mixture using a balloon whisk, then chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Whisk egg whites with electric beaters until soft peaks form in a clean bowl. Add icing sugar mixture and whisk until glossy and well combined. Set aside.
  • Whisk the chocolate mixture until it forms soft peaks and a ribbon trail appears. Gently fold in the egg white mixture until fully combined. Divide the mousse among 6 serving glasses and refrigerate for 2 hours to set.
  • Slice the remaining Mars bar and elegantly layer over the velvety mousse. Drizzle with luscious caramel sauce before presenting it for an unforgettable dessert experience.
