Decadent chocolate brownie with fluffy marshmallow and luscious chocolate frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 (16 ounce) package miniature marshmallows
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1.5 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Combine white sugar and cocoa in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter until well blended. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in 2 teaspoons vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt, then stir into the chocolate mixture. Gently fold in walnuts and spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake the cake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven until it starts pulling away from the sides. Cover with miniature marshmallows and return to the oven for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Let it cool in the pan.
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt together brown sugar, water, and unsweetened chocolate until it comes to a gentle boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla, stirring until smooth. Mix in confectioners' sugar until the frosting is velvety. Spread over the marshmallow layer and let it set before cutting into bars.
