Decadent hot chocolate brownies: Chewy, fudgy bars with hot cocoa mix, melted chocolate, and marshmallows - perfect winter treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups shortening
  • 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate (such as Baker's®)
  • 4 (.55 ounce) packages hot cocoa mix
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Melt shortening and chocolate squares in a double boiler over simmering water, stirring often until smooth, about 5 minutes. Ensure to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula to prevent burning. Remove from heat when fully melted.
  • Fold cocoa mix into the smooth melted chocolate, followed by sugar and eggs. Gradually incorporate flour until fully combined. Gently stir in marshmallows, then pour batter into the greased pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow it to cool.
