Decadent chocolate bars with fluffy marshmallows and creamy fudge frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 5 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 3/4 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, gently melt 1/3 cup of butter and 2 1/2 ounces of chocolate over low heat, stirring often. Let the mixture cool for about 15 minutes.
  • Combine chocolate mixture, Bisquick mix, granulated sugar, vanilla, and eggs in a medium bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping the bowl frequently. Increase speed to medium and beat for an additional minute. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. As soon as you take it out of the oven, add a layer of marshmallows on top. Let them melt for about 5 minutes under cover. Once soft, uncover and let it cool completely for about an hour.
  • Melt 2 1/2 ounces of chocolate and 1 tablespoon of butter in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan, then let it cool slightly. Mix in sour cream and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread over the marshmallow layer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Cut into 6 rows by 6 rows to make bars. Keep refrigerated.
