Elevate mashed potatoes with butter, sour cream, horseradish, and parsley for a flavorful twist on a classic side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 5 potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 2 teaspoons minced parsley
Instructions:
  • 1. In a sizable pot, bring salted water to a vigorous boil, then gently introduce the potatoes and simmer until they are tender yet slightly firm, approximately 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and mix in 1 tablespoon of butter and black pepper. Incorporate sour cream, horseradish, and parsley. Whip the potatoes until smooth and transfer to a medium serving bowl.
  • Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of melted butter over the potatoes just before serving. Enjoy while hot.
