Spiced peach cobbler: Baked peaches in a cozy, bubbling dessert, ideal for summer nights.
Ingredients:
  • 64 ounces canned sliced peaches with juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees. Grease a 10x14-inch baking dish.
  • Combine the peaches with their juice in a bowl, then gently mix in the lemon juice.
  • Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl. Then, strain peach juice into the bowl and mix well. Add flour, milk, vanilla extract, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves one by one, stirring until the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into a baking dish and top evenly with peaches.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbling, for approximately 1 hour.
