Savory meatball sliders with pizza sauce, apple jelly, and melted mozzarella on hoagie rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 3 (14 ounce) cans pizza sauce
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar apple jelly
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen meatballs
  • 6 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • Combine pizza sauce, apple jelly, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  • Add the frozen meatballs to the flavorful sauce. Cover and let them simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes, or until they are perfectly cooked, while giving an occasional stir.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C and arrange split hoagie rolls on a large baking sheet while the meatballs cook.
  • Fill each roll generously with meatballs and sauce, then top with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the cheese is perfectly melted.
