Mediterranean Tuna Linguine

Try flavorful tuna linguine using Progresso® crushed tomatoes for a quick Mediterranean-inspired pasta dish ready in 25 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces uncooked linguine
  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (9 ounces) tuna in water, drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/3 cup quartered pitted Kalamata olives
  • Fresh Italian sprigs parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • Prepare and cook linguine according to package instructions, then drain well.
  • As the linguine cooks, warm oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté celery for 2 to 3 minutes until it starts to soften, stirring often. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Combine tomatoes, tuna, and pepper in a pot. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Add olives and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes until heated through. Serve the sauce over linguine and top with parsley for a flavorful touch.
