Melting Snowmen Cookies

Candy-coated cookies, easy and delightful to bake and share - no rolling pins needed!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 package (1 lb) vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark)
  • Black confetti candy sprinkles
  • Orange candy sprinkles
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Cookie Icing chocolate icing
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors snowflakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, butter, and egg in a medium bowl, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  • Form half of the dough into walnut-sized balls and gently press them to flatten on a parchment-lined or ungreased cookie sheet. Shape the rest of the dough into marble-sized balls and arrange them on the cookie sheet without flattening.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes or until cookies are firm enough to be moved to a cooling rack. Frost only when completely cooled.
  • Microwave the candy coating in a large microwavable bowl at 30-second intervals until smooth. Then, cover your work surface with waxed or parchment paper.
  • Drizzle a bit of melted coating on the bottom of a small cookie and position it towards one edge of a larger cookie. Gently pour the coating over the entire cookie, letting it cascade over the edge of the bottom cookie for a delightful finish.
  • For the snowman's face, add two black confetti pieces as eyes and an orange candy sprinkle as the nose on a small cookie. Use three black confetti sprinkles as buttons on the bottom cookie. Alternatively, decorate a large cookie the same way for a fully melted snowman look.
  • Decorate cookies by using the cookie icing to create beautiful designs resembling arms. Sprinkle the decorated cookies with delicate snowflakes and let them dry fully.
