"Southern BBQ pulled pork gets a crispy twist in Asian-inspired wonton wrappers."
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces cooked pulled pork, chopped
  • 0.5 white onion, minced
  • 1 (12 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 2 quarts canola oil
  • 1 cup barbeque sauce
Instructions:
  • Combine the pulled pork and onion in a bowl.
  • Place a generous teaspoon of pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten two adjacent sides of the wrapper with water, then fold it over the filling to create a triangle shape. Press firmly to seal the edges.
  • Preheat the oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan until it reaches 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), just before smoking.
  • Fry wontons in hot oil until golden brown, about 1 minute per batch. Drain on crumpled paper towels and serve right away with barbeque sauce.
