Try these mouthwatering birria egg rolls for a versatile and flavorful dish. Serve with salsa as an appetizer or on a bed of lettuce with your favorite taco toppings for a satisfying main course.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) package egg roll wrappers
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
  • 2 cups shredded pepper Jack cheese
  • 4 cups oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until nicely browned. Drain off excess grease, then stir in taco seasoning as per package instructions. Set aside.
  • Get your oil sizzling in a deep skillet or fire up your deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Add a flavorful scoop of seasoned ground beef in the middle. Add a spoonful of green chilies and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. Follow the wrapping instructions on the package, ensuring edges are sealed with water if needed. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers and filling.
  • Fry rolls in hot oil until they turn a beautiful golden brown all around, for approximately 5 minutes. Then, place them on paper towels to drain off excess oil. Serve immediately while they are piping hot.
