Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups cold water
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Combine cold water, sugar, cocoa powder, flour, cinnamon, cloves, and salt in a saucepan. Stir until smooth. Heat over low heat, whisking constantly until thickened and hot for about 4 minutes. Pour in milk and heat until bubbles form around the edge. Add vanilla extract and blend until frothy using an immersion blender.
