Top delicious chocolate cupcakes with spooky moon-shaped snack cake garnish for a fun Halloween dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 2 tubs (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1/2 teaspoon purple paste food color
  • 2 tablespoons black sanding sugar
  • 1/2 cup purple rock candy, if desired
  • 24 creme-filled chocolate soft snack cakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 24 muffin cups with paper baking cups or spray with cooking spray. Prepare cake mix as instructed on the box to make cupcakes, using water, oil, and eggs. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Place the frosting in a medium bowl and mix in purple food color for a vibrant hue. Frost the cupcakes generously, then sprinkle them with sanding sugar and top each one with rock candy. Use a cookie cutter to shape snack cakes into crescent moons. Decorate the cupcakes with the moon-shaped cutouts for a delightful finishing touch.
