Decadent slice made with ANZAC oats, coconut, syrup, and milk chocolate.
Ingredients:
  • 250.00 ml flour
  • 100.00 gm rolled oats
  • 180.00 gm brown sugar
  • 42.50 gm desiccated coconut
  • 125g butter, chopped
  • 83.75 gm golden syrup
  • 0.63 gm bicarbonate soda
  • 230g Milk Chocolate Baking Chips
Instructions:
  • Mix together the flour, oats, sugar, coconut, and chocolate in a bowl.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup together over gentle heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. Add the bicarbonate soda to the mixture and combine with the flour mixture. Let it cool for 10 minutes, then mix in the chocolate. Press the mixture into a greased and paper-lined 28cm x 18cm slice pan, making sure the paper extends 5cm above the top of the pan.
  • Bake at 160°C for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool on a wire rack, then store in an airtight container until ready to serve. Cut into pieces before serving.
