Coconut and oats blend beautifully in these convenient Milo bliss balls, ideal for a quick snack on the move.
Ingredients:
  • 35g (1/3 cup) desiccated coconut
  • 50g (1/2 cup) rolled oats
  • 55g (1/3 cup) sunflower kernels
  • 40g (1/4 cup) sesame seeds
  • 400g medjool dates, pitted
  • 70g (1/2 cup) Milo, plus extra, to coat
Instructions:
  • Toast the coconut in a small frying pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes or until lightly golden. Set aside on a plate to cool.
  • Clean the frying pan and then toss in the oats, sunflower kernels, and sesame seeds. Cook everything for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally until toasted. Once ready, move the mixture to a food processor. Let it cool slightly before processing into coarse crumbs.
  • Combine the dates and Milo in the food processor and blend until thoroughly mixed.
  • Shape 1 tablespoon of mixture into a ball, then repeat with the rest. Spread extra Milo on a plate. Roll half of the balls in the Milo and the remaining balls in the coconut for coating.
