Finish Christmas with delicious trifles.
Ingredients:
  • 200g dark fruit cake
  • 20.00 ml brandy (optional)
  • 1/2 x 500g tub Premium brandy custard
  • 100g packet red glace cherries
Instructions:
  • Gently break up fruit cake into a bowl. If desired, delicately drizzle brandy over it. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Fill each 70ml-capacity shot glass with layers of cake mixture and custard, ending with custard on top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or ideally overnight.
  • With an electric mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Transfer the whipped cream into a zip-top bag, cut off a corner, and pipe it over the custard. Finish by topping each serving with a cherry before serving.
